Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

June 2015

W.O.W. Creation is finally lush and green
once again, and we are ready to enjoy our
summer to its fullest! Three day weekends
and holidays usually translate to times of
family/friend gatherings and travel. Those
special weekends also mean many are unable
to worship here on Sunday morning.
But – WOW! Our Worship Committee is working on a plan to make it possible for you to worship and still travel and enjoy your weekend festivities.
Beginning with the 4th of July holiday, we will come together for Worship on Wednesday (W.O.W.) July 1st at 6:30. The first services will be similar in flow and content, but not identical to the Sunday morning service. The service will be informal, so there is no need to worry about how you are dressed or getting the family spiffed up for worship! We will adjust the services as we go along so that they fit our needs and the purpose.
Please support and pray for this new endeavor, whether or not it will be on your personal schedule. This has the possibility to grow into something greater than we imagined—it may be a jumping off point to a new program, or it may remain a vital Wednesday service before a holiday weekend. We will never know until we cast the net and give it a try!
W.O.W services scheduled for this summer:
Wednesday July 1st, 6:30 – church sanctuary or fellowship hall.
Wednesday August 19th, 6:30 – this may be a special all-
church gathering at Mina Lake, because it is the week before
school begins – watch for updates.
Wednesday September 2nd, 6:30 – church sanctuary or fel-
lowship hall.
20 Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us; 21 glory to God in the church and in Christ Jesus for all generations, forever and always. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (CEB)
Enjoy your summer, and we’ll see you in worship!
