Youth Mission Fundraising Event Sunday November 18: you are invited to
enjoy a chili lunch following worship. The youth are raising money for Church
World Services blankets. This idea was developed in youth Sunday School
where we have been using a devotional based on items in their rooms. When
we were thinking about our own blankets, we moved on to considering what
it would be like to lose everything—to not have a home or even a blanket for protection and warmth. That
led to finding information on CWS blankets, and the many ways in which they become a true blessing to another. The current cost for each of these heavy blankets is $10. With your contributions, they hope to be able to provide 50 of these blankets that are distributed around the world. Come and eat some chili, on a chilly day, so that we may keep others warm!
