Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors
Coats for Kids and Other Folks

Our annual coat extravaganza is Saturday November 5.
We will also give snow pants to children in Kindergargen to fifth grade—which is the last grade they are required. Children who do not have snow pants cannot take part in recess—and they also get very cold as you might imagine!

There is a contribution jar by the front door, or a check can be written to NHUMC with missions on the memo line. Coats for adults and children—both new and gently used and clean, can be brought to the church in October. Snowpants can also be given. If you have any questions or know of people with coats to give, please speak to Kristie S., Missions Committee Chair, or leave a message in the church office.

Coats for Kids which just concluded was a success in all ways. There are always adult coats left over, as well as a few children’s coats. These were loaded up and taken to the Tree of Life Ministry Center in Mission, SD. Thank you to each and every person who helped in any way—sorting, washing, giving, organizing and anything else this list may miss! This is a community mission of the entire church, organized for us by our Missions Committee. All of the committee extends their gratitude for the ways in which North Highland gets behind this, our biggest outreach into our community—what a great event to have associated with us!
